LIVONIA, Mich. — Feb. 25, 2026—Two MercyOne home health agencies have been recognized among the nation’s best in the inaugural U.S. News & World Report 2026 Best Home Health Agencies list, highlighting the highest performing home health organizations in the country.
For the first time, U.S. News & World Report evaluated nearly 8,000 home health agencies across the country using Medicare-reported data on quality, patient outcomes and patient experience. Only 17% earned the distinction of “High Performing,” the publication’s highest honor. MercyOne Des Moines Home Care and MercyOne Waterloo Home Care were recognized among this elite group.

U.S. News & World Report based its rankings on publicly available data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, evaluating:
- Quality and outcome measures
- Patient survey results
- Agency performance against national benchmarks
